Pioneer in ecotourism to the Galapagos Is. First naturalist-guide in the islands. Later, teacher in biology and science at the Colegio Americano of Guayaquil.

Teacher of English at the Berlitz School of Languages. Translator and interpreter for Newham-Techint Joint Venture on construction of 34'' gas pipeline from Moomba to Sydney (Australia). Inspector for Williams Bros.-CMPS Engineers on the Wilton-Wollongong 20'' gas pipeline.

In Norway, engaged several years in sale of soft furnishings and foam products.

Some writing in periodicals in Ecuador, Argentina, Australia and the USA. Botanical work in the Galapagos Is. including discovery of unknown subspecies of giant cactus.
